The National Central Library Newsletter, a quarterly publication launched in April 1969, reports on the NCL’s achievements in international cooperation, events and exhibitions, new publications, updates from the Center for Chinese Studies, and developments in Taiwan’s library community. Since 2000, the newsletter has been issued in both print and electronic formats, aiming to serve overseas partner and exchange institutions as well as libraries in Taiwan. Full-text PDF versions of each issue are available on the NCL website for public access.
This issue highlights a wide range of international and domestic collaborations and activities, including participation in the PNC Annual Conference to promote Taiwan’s academic achievements and AI innovation; the establishment of a Taiwan Resource Center for Chinese Studies in France; the launch of the Shared Firmament exhibition and an Indigenous memory exhibition; exchanges with the King Kong Award Association and the International Cooperation and Development Fund; strengthened Taiwan–Japan academic and cultural ties; the Taiwan Corner donation ceremony in Tokyo; the commencement of the Youth Scholars Camp; and the opening of the OPEN Summer Lecture Series.
We sincerely appreciate the long-term support from all our readers. Beginning in 2026, to enhance the efficiency of information dissemination and align with global sustainability goals, the newsletter will discontinue its print mail-out service and transition fully to electronic publication.
