The National Central Library and the Fo Guang Shan Foundation for Buddhist Culture & Foundation will jointly hold the launching of a new book : “A Hundred Years of Buddhism” on the 2nd of April, 2013 at 2 pm. The venue will be at the NCL 3rd floor International Conference Hall. The book was first published in September 2012 by Academia Historica. This year, March, 2013, a revised publication was realized. It consists 16 volumes of ‘opus magna’ which contain 110 articles on Buddhism in ordinary life and Buddhist life. It is a significant first-hand source of information for those aspiring researchers who want to know the development of Buddhism in Taiwan these past hundred years and on the social history of Taiwan as well. In coordination with this event, related exhibitions on books, images, photos will be held at the NCL cultural area, 3rd floor and at the corridors of the basement 1(B1). The date of exhibition is from the 2nd of April to the 8th of April. New Book exhibition will be at the 2nd floor exhibition hall from the 2nd of April to the 14th and from the 19th of May to the 31st of July, 2013. Everybody is welcome!
