On the afternoon of August 27, 2024, a delegation from the Khunying Long Athakravisunthorn Learning Resources Center, Prince of Songkla University Library (PSU) in Thailand, led by Professor Ophat Kaosaiyaporn, the Library Director, along with four executives, Assistant Director Mrs. Suda Pantusa, Head Mrs. Vena Ritruksa, Administration Department, Head Mrs. Phontip Thanomkunlabutr, Management and Information Services and Head Miss Kraisri Krairiksh, Information Technology and Corporate Communications visited the National Central Library, Taiwan (NCL) for a tour and library affairs exchange.
The PSU delegation was first received by staff from the NCL International Cooperation Division and was given a tour of the NCL OPEN LAB.
Following the tour, a bilateral exchange symposium between PSU and NCL was chaired by the NCL Director-General Dr. Han-ching Wang. During the exchange symposium, detailed presentations were given by Director Cheng Yin Tsai of the General Affairs and Secretariat Office, Knowledge Services Specialist Dr. Wan-Yin Hong of the Knowledge Services Division and Systems Designer Yunpeng Hsiang of the Digital Knowledge System Division. The presentations covered the quality management, reader services, and information technology integration of the NCL, Taiwan. After the presentations, both sides engaged in discussions on various aspects of library operations.
