Director Huang Xiangong of the Historical Documentation Centre at the Shanghai Library visited the NCL, accompanied by NCL Special Collection Division Director Yu Hsiao-ming. Director Huang met with NCL Director-general Karl Min Ku and NCL Deputy Director-general Wu Ying-mei. The two sides exchanged views on rare books and library affairs. Director Huang also presented the NCL with 10 books on the Shanghai Library's Song rare book collection. Director Huang was invited to Taiwan by the NCL and National Palace Museum to participate in the Chiang Fu-tsung Memorial Symposium.
