A group of 15 students visited the NCL from among those who participated in the "2016 International Summer School NTU Summer + 2 English-Chinese Translation and Cultural Curriculum" offered by The National Taiwan University International Affairs Department. Accompanied by their teachers, they visited the various services facilities and the Rare Books Room where an exhibition on "The Imagination and Construction of the Classics' Journey". They had an in-depth introduction to the NCL's special collections resources and the binding procedures of rare books.

The Center for Chinese Studies staff introduced their scholarship program and the research environment of Taiwan encouraging the students to come and study or make research in Taiwan on Chinese Studies
