As a research library, the NCL encourages its staff to conduct research in specialized fields so as to enhance their professional ability. In addition to providing general reader services, the library brings together various types of information from the organization into a systematic knowledge resource to serve as an academic reference, enhance the academic position of the library, and enable the library to become the nation's knowledge navigator.
