Dr. Brian Vivier, librarian from the University of Michigan Asian Library, specializing in Chinese Borderland History and Geography of the Middle Ages, visited the Taipei International Book Fair and took the opportunity to visit the "Center for Chinese Studies", and the newly opened "Matteo Ricci and the Pacific Research Room" . He was welcomed by deputy director, Wu Ying-mei, who gave him complimentary commemorative books on behalf of NCL.
